Q: How do I report an Apple Support Community user?

Wanted to know where or how can I report a user that not only never replies with valid or helpful answers in a discussion but also always replies with answers that make people get mad and loose the objective of the actual forum, please let me know if someone knows where or how can this be done.

Thanks!

I actually was trying to find out how to report someone for that exact user in the macbook pro graphics thread.

He is derailing the conversation with his petty and off-topic bickering. It makes it tedious having to sift through all his garbage to follow the actual conversation for those of us interested in the graphics card/logic board issue.

I've not been a part of any of his arguing, I just don't understand why his posts aren't deleted considering they have nothing to do with the topic and only bait other people to go even further off topic.

    nevermind.

There's no point responding in earnest to a post as intentionally unhelpful as yours.

    Cheers.

The thread has been marked as successfully answered some time ago. What you are posting has been answered time after time..

Actually it hasn't, as the conversation in the thread had evolved from the OP.  It wasn't only about how to report someone, my original reply was also to call attention to a member who is actively continuing to derail a thread.

You have inadvertently answered my question though.

    Cheers

And maybe you should start your own thread and nott piggyback off someone else's that has been resolved. It's called laziness.

Why start a new thread when there's already a relevant thread where the topic is being discussed only days ago?  Please don't answer.  I'm not particularly interested in your response as I know it won't be a genuine attempt at answering.

It's unfortunate you've accumulated so many points and feel the need to reply to so many conversations not directed at you, because the tone of your posts embody exactly what is wrong with the support community forums.

It was my mistake to even respond.  I won't be making that mistake again.

    Cheers

It's unfortunate you've accumulated so many points

And what do you call it for people who accumulate so few?

Because if a post is marked as resolved then very few people revisit it, and therefore your enquiry goes unanswered. Thus start your own thread and it will attract more attention although the answer will still be the same. But that's your problem.

    happy computing

You're a level 8!  lol.  No wonder!   Man this place has some issues in how it ranks users and moderates threads.

What do I call it for people who accumulate so few?

Well, I come to the forums looking for discussion and insight from helpful, knowledgable Apple users in order to troubleshoot specific problems with my Apple products.  I spend very little time here, as my goal isn't to accumulate points on an internet forum to acquire some sort of status, but it's cute that you think that's an insult.

I'm sure you and your buddy petermack are knowledgable Apple users.  It's unfortunate that more of your energy here isn't directed towards politely helping people. It's why most of us for here, looking for help.

I know I've already wasted far too much energy engaging you and petermack's baiting.  Back to the search for actual help!

    Cheers

If you have an issue then why are you posting in this thread for. Start your own (I may have mentioned it earlier) with details of your Mac and your issues.

With respect, and in all fairness,  the poster was doing exactly what was suggested by out Host Zack T. - and was responding to him.

where Zack sez... (emphasis is mine)

We are watching that thread. It’s full of non-technical posts at this time. If you have an issue with a particular post where another user is being rude to you, please let me know which one specifically.

What's Jay supposed to do, ignore the Host?

I see that you have located just the right person to respond to - Zack T. He is likely off for the weekend. I would just WAIT until you hear from him on Monday.

Yes but the poster now claims to be having issues with either Apple software or hardware and the title of this thread and the fact it has been marked as resolved will be of no benefit to them or anyone else.

You are the one who described petermacs accumulation of points as 'unfortunate', I wondered what is considered more fortunate?
