Nov 23, 2014 2:19 PM in response to Eric Rootby dannfort,Thank you. I have tried this and the troubleshooting has not revealed or solved my problem. The camera still does not show up in the hardware listing even after resetting the SMC. It may be a hardware issue, but I guess I am hopping it is still related to the Yosemite install.

Your OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) is not the latest version.
Even if you have already updated to 10.10.2 by a different method, do the following:
• Restart Mac, repair disk permissions, then download and install OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 Combo Update.
• Repair permissions again following the restart that completes the Combo Update. Then try your camera again.

Then, having already also tried all the troubleshooting suggestions, "... contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service."
