Q: After installing iTunes 12.1, it says my songs are not authorized, but it won't let me authorize them.
Everything was working great until I updated to iTunes 12.1. Now, when my husband and I try to update our iPods, it says that 305 of our songs have not been authorized. When we try to authorize them, it doesn't work. It took the 305 songs off of our iPods (classics). Of course trying to authorize the songs doesn't solve the problem because they were authorized before we updated to 12.1. Why would updating to 12.1 un-authorize 305 songs? There must be some other problem or glitch in 12.1. Please help!
We have Windows 8.

Hello Slin1973,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand iTunes continues to ask you to authorize a bunch of your songs. You try but it doesn't. Instead it just continues to ask.
That sounds like the issue discussed in this article.
