    Is pages and numbers free?
    I hit the Sync button and it said it was downloading purchases and listed Pages as one of 5
    I did not approve or purchase anything I was simply moving the icon around and opened newsstand to see what it was.
    Can I remove "Newstand" as it is listed separately ?

    Newsstand is also a pre-installed app. Your best bet is probably to either hide the icon in a folder or move it to another screen further down the line.

    To organize apps into folders, press and hold the icon for one of them until it starts wobbling.  Then drag it on to the second app you want to be in the folder. iOS will automatically generate a title for the folder based on the apps' descriptions, but if you tap this name you can rename it to whatever you want to call the folder.

    Hope this helps.

    I have a non Apple app that does not have an x.  I've tried turning the phone off and on.  All other apps have an x to delete (except Apple installed apps).

    Iphone 6 plus, IOS 8.1.2.  Any other ideas on how to delete?

    @greg1424

    Who needs newsstand ? It depends if you enjoy reading the newspaper or magazines in your spare time.  Back in the day, you find that small child delivering your morning newspaper.  You open the door, you found out that the next door neighbor stole your daily newspaper, now you have to buy a new one at the neighborhood deli.  Now Newsstand, fix that by delivering the news you love to your iOS device.  Drink some coffee, while flipping pages on your phone or iPad.  Guess what?  You saving the earth, no one stealing your paper and is available anytime you want.   Plus their subscriptions are cheap, so view the link to read more about it.

    Is pages and numbers free?  Is free, you activated or purchased on or after September 1, 2013. Read the link below for more details

    @ronbo747

    Try these solutions to see if you can move forward:

    Solution 1:

    settings>general>restrictions>disable 'deleting apps'

    IF it is disabled, enable, then disable once again and see if it fix your issue

    Solution 2:

    settings>general>usage>manage storage>find the app you want to delete and tap on the app>tap delete app

    Solution 3:

    If those solutions don't work I would strongly recommend you to visit the nearest apple store and have a genius specialist look at your device.

    Solution 1 did not work.

    Solution 2 also didn't work because the app isn't listed there.

    It appears the app is stuck in the twilight zone.

    I don't know the name of the app, it's in Chinese.  It appears to be a Chinese app store of some sort.
