Q: So I preordered the imagine dragons album and then proceeded to buy a couple more songs. I had recently put $15 into my account, bringing my total to $15.49. It still showed that I had $9 left, does this mean the album did not preorder?

The album was $10.70 because I had already bought the first single. Subtract that from the 15.49 I had and I'm left with around $5. I bought 3 more songs, then proceeded to check my account where it showed that there were still $9 in my account. What does this mean? Does preordering the album not take my money immediately, or did i just knock myself out of downloading all the songs when they come out?

You aren't charged at pre-ordering, you are only charged when it's released - at any time between pre-ordering and release you could cancel the pre-order. When it's released you should be charged the remaining price (album's full price mind any tracks already released) plus any applicable taxes
