Q: os X 10.8.3 "printer is in use"

Although I have never had problems before, for the past 2 days my MAC AirBook has been telling me that the hp wireless printer (HP ENVY 110) is "in use", when in fact it is not "in use".  I have downloaded the hp drivers from Apple support, and can print a test page with no problems, computer recognizes wireless HP printer with no problem.  In printing the test page, Apple advises that if the test page prints, then the problem is with the computer's drivers or printing process.  Does anybody know how to correct this?  Thanks!
