Feb 11, 2015 12:01 PM in response to Macintosh4579by léonie,Sure, you can keep iPhoto and will not be forced to migrate to Photos. Once MacOS X 10.10.3 is out, and you decide to update you it, you can try Photos, but keep iPhoto. And for good measure, as with any update, make a full Time Machine backup of your Mac, before you migrate to MacOS 10,10.3, so you can always revert.

Well, with Apple we should be in for surprises, Kappy, right, but iPhoto is listed at the AppStore as "Compatibility: MacOS X 10.10 or later".
And the 10.10.3 update will be a minor update, not a major system upgrade, like the iOS7 to iOS8 upgrade, that killed iPhoto for iOS.

Feb 11, 2015 12:22 PM in response to léonieby Kappy,I know, but Apple has been fussy about letting users continue with older software versions when upgrading to the latest OS X. I simply don't know what they will do, so I try to CMA in that situation.
I could comment on your second remark but it's against the NDA I'm under.

Strictly going by the numbers 10.10.3, Kappy, but understood, and we are in the same boat.
