Feb 11, 2015 2:54 PM in response to bigdogkcby bigdogkc,OK, Apple support said to backup the phone using iTunes, which I did....then using the iPhone dashboard via iTunes, to restore the phone to factory settings, which I did....then reloaded the backup....and VOILA!....my mail storage dropped from 8.9 GB to 31.5 MB....a frigging miracle. It worked! Now have 10.4GB available on my 16GB iPhone5. thanks all! Hope this posting helps someone else.
