Q: Unlock iphone 6 - hard reset required?

Sprint has unlocked my phone. Do i have to do a hard reset to be able to use different SIM card when I travel internationally (from USA to Saudi Arabia). Will a SIM from there work without a hard reset? Thanks!!

Not sure what a hard reset is, but the carrier send you instructions.

I believe that you must restore as new, then the Congratulations your iPhone is unlocked message will appear.

Generally it is required to restore the phone as new in iTunes to complete an unlock. Once that is done, you can restore your backup to put your content back on, so make sure you do a backup before you do the restore. Then you will be able to use foreign SIM cards. Understand, that LTE may not work there, and the warranty is only good in the US. I'm not sure what you are referring to as a hard reset, there is only one reset as far as the iPhone is concerned, and it is just called a reset, and that is holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then releasing the buttons. The device will reboot.
