Aug 15, 2014 1:29 AM in response to Spanky1991by Ethmoid,Most people posting in this thread appear to be trolls and not reading the responses posted and just asking the same question over and over.
Bottom Line: THERE IS NO WAY TO BYPASS THE ACTIVATION LOCK IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PREVIOUS OWNERS DETAILS AND IF YOU CANNOT CONTACT THEM, THEN THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT YOU CAN DO. YOU HAVE AN UNUSABLE BRICK FOR A PHONE, SO YOU NEED TO RETURN THE PHONE FOR A FULL REFUND OR TAKE OUT A CLAIM WITH E-BAY OR WHEREVER YOU PURCHASED THE PHONE.

Nov 18, 2014 10:32 AM in response to jawid_nazirby ChrisJ4203,Please take the time to read the thread. There is NOTHING that you can do without the previous owner's information. No one here works for Apple, and Apple will not even assist you with the previous owner's information. The phone is USELESS to you.

Jan 28, 2015 10:14 PM in response to tonefoxby Ankit Tambe,In that case contact to apple care .. they ask for your copy of bill and if it is genuine then they reset that device as a new device but during this process all the data will be lost because it restore as a new device..

Feb 16, 2015 10:03 AM in response to Ankit Tambeby anypats,I don't think this is going to bypass the activation lock. Otherwise, people can just make up a fake bill of sale, provide it to Apple, and then the iPhone becomes theirs. I think the device will still be tied to the original owner and only they can delete it from their account. If it was as simple as providing an invoice, receipt, or bill of sale, people wouldn't be having this issue on a daily basis. Reports lately have proven that device thefts are slowing down due to activation lock issues.

Mar 19, 2015 6:23 AM in response to anypatsby teananw,Ankit is correct!
all you need is Proof of purchase and it needs to have certain info on it
that gets submitted to the find my iPhone department and they get that verified to make sure it is legit and if so they unlock it. If not the deny the request.

Mar 30, 2015 8:39 PM in response to Aldaseby marlaurente,Hi, I'm having the same problem.
I bought a second hand iPhone 5C last December 27, 2014. It was working fine but then my battery bloated because of overcharging, I guess. Then I had it repaired yesterday, March 30 2015. They replaced my battery. After, it was working fine again but then I noticed glitches. First, when I'm texting, it automatically exits and then I can not set the date right. So I decided to reset all its settings. Then after reloading, it got stuck on the Apple logo. I went back to the store wherein I got my phone fixed, and they advised me to Restore my phone and this will surely help to make my phone work perfectly again. But after restoring it, I can not have access to it anymore (even through iTunes) because it's saying that I need the previous owner's account to activate my phone.
My problem is, I do not have contact anymore to the previous owner. Is there something can I can do? Help

Mar 30, 2015 8:53 PM in response to marlaurenteby ChrisJ4203,There is nothing you can do. You cannot get around Activation Lock and Apple will not help either. It is an anti-theft device, and if the previous owner did not remove the device from their account, you will never be able to activate the device. It is useless.
