Feb 16, 2015 7:21 PM in response to Dogs 'n Frontby Carson...,Hello!
Is your phone connected to the internet via 3g/4g? If so, you may try connecting to a wifi network to allow your phone to better pin point a location. Also, make sure your location services are on, and you allow your location to be given.

Note:
Some carriers don’t support network time, so in some areas iPhone may not be able to automatically determine the local time.

Feb 16, 2015 7:28 PM in response to Carson...by Dogs 'n Front,Yes, it's using wi-fi and my carrier is Verizon Wireless. I'll try resetting the phone but I'd be VERY surprised if Verizon didn't support time zone detection

Feb 16, 2015 7:38 PM in response to Dogs 'n Frontby Carson...,Hello Again!
Verizon does indeed support timezone detection. Here are a few more things you can try:
- Reset Network Settings Inside Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings
- You Might also ensure Location Detection is enabled inside Settings » Privacy » Location Services » System Services » Setting Time Zone
Best wishes,
Carson

Feb 16, 2015 9:42 PM in response to Carson...by Dogs 'n Front,Carson, I checked your second suggestion and everything is as it should be regarding Location Services. Interns of resetting the network settings, what will that do exactly (please don't say "reset the network")?

Feb 17, 2015 2:39 PM in response to Dogs 'n Frontby Carson...,Hello Once Again!
This "reset" reloads all internet settings on the device. It erases wifi passwords, clears caches, and reloads connections with the carrier (In your case Verizon). Usually this is used because over time, network caches will clog up your phone's internet connection systems. Not really that big of a reset, the only thing noticeable that comes from this reset is the forgetting of wifi passwords. I'm pretty sure this would solve your issue.

Jun 27, 2015 3:44 AM in response to Dogs 'n Frontby Sirsteveofact,I just fixed the same issue by resetting location & privacy, which seemed more logical than resetting network settings. Fixed it straight away.
