    Hello Eric,

If I understand correctly you are trying to update your Logic Pro X application but it seems to be stuck in Installing in the Mac App Store. This is going to sound very basic, but I would restart the computer and then attempt the udpate again. Oft times restarting will resolve issues with apps not updating correctly:

OS X Mavericks: Restart your Mac

    • To restart normally, choose Apple menu > Restart. If the login window is open, click the Restart button.

It is possible you may need to force quit the Mac App store if it will not allow you to restart:

Force an app to close on your Mac

    1. Choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, or press Command-Option-Esc
(this is similar to pressing Control-Alt-Delete on a PC).
    2. Select the unresponsive app in the Force Quit window, then click Force Quit.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

    All the best,

    Sterling
