Q: No audio after wake from sleep on mini

When my systems comes back from sleep it does not see any audio output event if the audio jack is plugged. I have to unplug/replug the jack to make it work.

My mini is the basic 2011 model running Yosemite. I use external speaker plugged through the mini audio jack. I bought it used and format / installed Yosemite right away, so I did not test with other OS version. I have an HDMI monitor which has an audio out, but no speaker plugged in.

Am I the only one facing this bug ? Are there any work around ?

Apple: This seems like a bug in your audio driver.

Hello kristian.benoit,

Good job on troubleshooting your issue so far. To continue, take a look at the articles below and see if it corrects itself. The audio might be trying to go through the monitor so try at least the reset NVRAM to reset the audio volume back to default and test it out.
