Feb 19, 2015 7:17 AM in response to turingtest2by Meowgrr,OMG! This worked! Thank you so much! I have been trying to fix this for weeks. When I went to update iTunes, it completely crashed and wouldn't install correctly. After countless uninstalls/reinstalls/Errors (dll file issues, AMDS not working, iTunes Helper not responding, etc.), I came across your suggestion and the download for older video cards worked perfectly. I am literally jumping for joy right now. Thank you SO much! I wish I had found this solution sooner.

Mar 10, 2015 9:08 AM in response to turingtest2by Roycemi,Another bless you and thank you to Turingtest2 for the link for older video cards. I'd spent about 6 hours trying to get iTunes running again and following links for every possible error message, uninstalling and reinstalling various ways, and this was the first that worked. Saving it for future reference as well!

Mar 11, 2015 6:36 PM in response to deggieby kmdfrance,I was having the same problem with this program. You need to make sure you have erased ALL Apple files from your computer, including Bonjour. Once I uninstalled that program, I could uninstall the Apple Mobile Device as well.

Mar 12, 2015 3:45 AM in response to rickylover_04by turingtest2,If you are still having trouble, and you have a 64-bit machine, then try the "for older video cards" version...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Mar 26, 2015 8:35 PM in response to turingtest2by Knock Owt,OMG! I'm so glad I found this thread! I have been trying everything for a week. Even was on the phone with support for an hour and they couldn't even resolve it! I kept deleting all the Apple files in order and trying to run the new iTunes installer as admin and still got the same error! So doing this helped.
Deleted all the Apple programs in that EXACT order.
Restart
Then download and installed the iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
Viola! It works like new again!
Praise this person! They are a life saver! Pure GENIUS!

Apr 7, 2015 7:06 AM in response to djeanneby DT_1,I've spent a few days on this and finally tonight this suggestion from another thread worked straight away. iTunes is now running with no errors and says its the latest version.
iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
Funny, I don't think I had and older card, but there you go.
Hope that helps.

Apr 7, 2015 8:01 AM in response to DT_1by turingtest2,That version seems to get around a number of compatibility issues, not just those involving video cards.
