Feb 19, 2015 11:08 AM in response to Loner Tby MarieBlight,I don't have an external optical USB drive, and obviously I can't put a dvd in this mac. I do have another PC, if I make a bootable windows 8.1 on a usb key, will that create a iso file on mac, so I can put it through bootcamp?

Feb 19, 2015 11:56 AM in response to MarieBlightby Loner T,If the PC has an Optical drive, you can use http://www.imgburn.com (there are many other tools to the same). Once you create the ISO file, it can be transferred over the network from PC to Mac. I suggest that the PC and Mac be on the same wired network. After you get the ISO on the Mac, use the links I posted earlier to start Windows installation.
Also, after you insert DVD on the PC Optical drive, right click on it and look for Advanced Sharing option. If it is available, you can share it over the network to the Mac and burn an ISO.
