Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media like apps now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Try syncing using the manual method

Jun 15, 2015 11:04 AM in response to TTUSpiritby gibbymcfender,Having the same issue. 2 of my 3 playlists will not sync. 1 of those playlists has song demos downloaded via email that are now in my iTunes library folder - 2 of those 4 songs on that playlist were able to sync, 2 weren't. They're all the same filetype, so I don't think it's a compatibility issue. I, too, don't get the check box for "all music" in iTunes to sync to phone.
VERY puzzled.
