Q: MacBook pro dead?

Hi. Could you give some more info? What year/operating system/ram/ are you running? Did you get one long beep or a series of beeps? Was if very hot? If it has been off a while could you try a pram reset/ Hold down Command/Option /P/R at startup for three chimes and continue boot.
