Q: Downloading Films and TV shows from iTunes

I have recently just started downloading some films from iTunes. I've already got 4 films on my iMac, but I've got one film and two TV series still in the iTunes store/Cloud. A period of about 6 weeks has passed since I downloaded the 4 films. I have now tried to download the TV series and the film, but it doesn't seem to work now. The dialogue box that comes up when I click on the cloud icon on the TV series or film says the following:

'This computer is already associated with an Apple ID

You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different ID for 67 days'

I have no idea what this means. I was already logged onto the iTunes store when I tried to download, and I'm at a loss. Anyone out there can help me?

    Greetings davrayjon,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you had four previous purchased movies in iTunes that you would like to download, but are receiving an alert that you cannot associate the computer with a different Apple ID for 67 more days. This can happen when a device is associated with one Apple ID and then an attempt is made to associate with a different Apple ID. Please refer to the attached article for further information.

Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support

After you associate a device with your Apple ID, you can't associate that device with another Apple ID for 90 days.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Joe,

Thanks for the response, and I think I understand the process for Associating the respective devices.

I did go onto my iTunes store and logged in etc. I did in fact have 3 computers associated with my Apple ID, which I believe is within the limit of 5 computers, and I had a couple of devices. (Both were for my iPhone, but I think one was for my old iPhone 4 and the other for my iPhone 5.) Anyway, now I have de-authorised all the computers except my iMac, and I have only one device Authorised to my Apple ID.

I still get the same message popping up on my screen when I attempt to download one of my purchased films/TV shows from the Cloud.

I do have a shortcut on my desktop to the 'Movies' folder in Finder, which has 4 Movies that I previously downloaded from the Cloud, and can also play on the iMac. However, there are still 2 Movies and 2 sets of whole series of TV shows that I'm unable to download from iTunes to my iMac. I've definitely confirmed that I have purchased them in the Account Settings tab in iTunes.

It would be great if you could help me a little further please?
