Q: Can't dismiss pop-up

I can't make the iTunes "You need to change your account" pop-up go away. Neither Cancel nor Update Account dismisses it. All I can do is force quit iTunes. Anyone else with this problem?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

I think the problem was that I had iTunes set up to keep me logged in, so it went into a neverending spiral of seeing that an AOL screen name was logged in and telling me to change it. I eventually was fast enough to sign out in between repeatedly hitting cancel. Then when I logged in again, it correctly took me through the update steps.

The worst part was that my full AOL email had formerly been associated with an Apple ID, so I could simply append @aol.com to my screen name. I was forced to create a brand new email address (I chose gmail) to use. But, after I did that, the transition was easy.
