If you kept the audio message within the two minute time out you can replay it.
With iOS:
Send audio, photo, and video messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8 - Apple Support
Keep an audio or video message
An audio or video message recorded and sent from Messages will expire two minutes after you play it. Before an audio or video message expires, you can tap Keep, under the message, to manually save it in Messages and to your attachments. To view your saved attachments, tap Details while viewing the conversation.
With Yosemite:
Messages (Yosemite): Send audio clips
After you send the audio clip, it disappears from your Messages window after two minutes. The recipient will still be able to play your audio clip. To preserve the audio clip in your Messages window, click Keep.
If not, maybe they will play it for you.
Cheers,
Nubz
