Q: Can't connect Macbook Pro Yosemite with iPhone 6 over Bluetooth
I can't believe this. When I try to pair my iPhone 6 w/iOS 8.1.3 with my Macbook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.2 with Bluetooth the devices pair and then immediately disconnect. The error message is "[this Mac's name] is not supported."
How is it even possible for a iPhone to regard a Mac as an unsupported device? Unless this is a misleading error message, this is unbelievable; and it the message is misleading, what's really going on?
Bluetooth works fine on both devices as long as I'm not connecting them to each other. The Mac uses an Apple mouse just fine and the iPhone uses Bluetooth headphones.
What's the deal Apple?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), iPhone 6+ iOS 8.1.3

As noted in the following, Bluetooth is to be turned on for AirDrop: Share content with AirDrop from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
It would be a lot clearer if they added "but you don't pair the two devices." There is a detailed explanation of this in: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with another iOS device or with my computer?
