Feb 23, 2015 7:26 AM in response to Mpkreillyby pogster,I have no idea what the silence is either. There's a mute switch on the side of the phone if that's what you are looking for.

Feb 23, 2015 7:36 AM in response to Rudegarby pogster,How do I override the 'sound' when phone is locked? Nope, that's not doing it for me. Perhaps I need one or two or three more cups of coffee this morning.

Perhaps it would be easier for all of us if you would explain to us what it is exactly you are trying to to do or want the phone to do. If you have 'Do Not Disturb' turned on and 'Always' checked, incoming calls and notifications will always be silenced whether the screen is locked or not. If you check 'Only while the iPhone is locked' then you'll only receive incoming calls and notifications while the phone is unlocked.

Feb 23, 2015 8:20 AM in response to pogsterby Mpkreilly,Phone is set to lock after 1 hour. If a call is received when the phone is locked, the phone will not ring. I want the phone to ring.

Feb 23, 2015 8:35 AM in response to Mpkreillyby Lawrence Finch,Ah, if DND is not enabled and the phone does not ring when locked there is something very seriously wrong with your phone. Either iOS is corrupted or you have a hardware problem. Are you SURE DND is not enabled? If it is you will see a crescent moon in the status bar at the top of the screen.
