Q: AirDrop and iPhone 5C and MacBook Pro

Why is my iPhone 5(iOS 8) not showing up on my Macbook Pro (10.9) in Airdrop?  I have Airdrop set to Everyone on the phone and Bluetooth and Wi-fi are on for both devices.  No personal hotspot is on.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), iPhone 5c iOS 8.1
