Feb 27, 2015 9:00 AM in response to jonfromelginby alex_h1,★HelpfulHello jonfromelgin,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you want to use Wi-Fi calling on an iPhone, it needs to be at least an iPhone 5s running iOS 8. Your iPhone 5 does not support Wi-Fi calling.
Wi-Fi calling is available for T-Mobile in the United States. You need an iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus. Your device needs to be using iOS 8 and have a Wi-Fi Internet connection.
Make a call over Wi-Fi with iOS 8 - Apple Support
Take care,
Alex H.

Feb 27, 2015 1:53 PM in response to jonfromelginby anypats,The same version of iOS runs on the iPhone 5 as the iPhone 5s. Therefore, if the iPhone 5 could run it then they would have included it. Apple would have no reason to keep it out of the iPhone 5 if it could handle it.
