Q: Let someone use ipad without accessing id

I want to let my 90yo MIL use my old ipad so the kids can facetime with her. However, I don't want the older grandkids who may play around on the ipad while visiting to be able to access my information. I thought I could create her own user ID, but learned there is only one user allowed per device. Is there any way to make this happen?

No. The iPad is a single user device.

As Allan says, the iPad is a single user device.

However, you may be able to accomplish your objective using Guided Access, described here:
iOS: About Guided Access - Apple Support

Using Guided Access, you could conceivably hand the iPad to your mother-in-law allowing only FaceTime access.
