Q: iTunes Error 7 (Windows error 127) after installing iTunes 64-bit for Windows

sad to say,i looked under itunes but i can't find <QTMovieWin.dll> on my computer.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the "for older video cards" release as a workaround for performance issues.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Hey, I found a solution that worked for me!

Just uninstall every apple component as it is described in many other threads: Bonjour, apple device compatibility, itunes.... etc AND DOWNLOAD ITUNES 12.1.1 (which is the latest i think) for windows WITH OLDER VIDEO CARDS!!!

This did not work for me either; however, I was able to UNINSTALL itunes, brochure, and all the other apple things in my control panel, and then I reinstalled Itunes, and it worked!

No! I was worried about the same thing, but I did not lose my music. So dont worry just uninstall. and reinstall.

Yes!!  This is the trick.  Uninstall all things Apple (particularly iTunes in the order specified above) then use:  iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards) It worked!!  And the music doesn't go away.  Even if you think you have a newer video card, use this... it works!

Hi, I have a problem about iTunes. I installed iTunes and open it and an error message pop out and it says "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)". I tried to do the designated solutions that Apple made and it doesn't work, I tried it all several times and nothing happens. I uninstall and reinstall it and nothing. I'm getting insane with this problem, I can't fix it. So someone could help me because I really need iTunes. If someone knows to fix the problem, please reply to me. HELP PLEASE!

i followed these instructions having had the same issue... but my issue was I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 3.  That's a 32Bit system.

For the reinstall, process, i had to find the itunes 12.1 download that works with XPsp3.  (The newest version of itunes 12.3 does NOT work with XP at all).

while i had spent almost 2 hours online with a tech from apple last week...which resolved by being told essentially there's nothting  i can do but upgrade my OS..this worked perfectly.

There is a new (and likely final) release of iTunes for Windows XP 32-bit and Windows Vista 32/64 which includes support for iOS 9, though not Apple Music.

• iTunes 12.1.3.6 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2015-09-16)
• iTunes 12.1.3.6 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes6464Setup.exe (2015-09-16)

I got this error after installing a new version of iTunes, BUT (in hindsight) I stupidly aborted the iCloud update during the process,

so the install did not complete. I went to google and someone suggested this:

The thing that threw me was trying to uninstall iCloud when there are only Organize and Change options, not Uninstall.  After several failed attempts I simply ignored the fact that iCloud was still loaded and installed iTunes and it was a breeze. I've got my music back!!

I had the same problem and thought I'd forget using that PC at work and use my home OSx PC instead. The iPhne 6 won't backup or sync with any other computer though and I can't get my OSx to even recognise there's an iPhone plugged in. In it up to my eyes now, no iTues on the old wrok PC and can't backup on the new one. What to do?

Try the following:

1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
2. Plug in your device
3. Locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
   It is also possible the device may show under Imaging Devices, Portable Devices or Other Devices or as an MTB USB Device.
4. Right-click and select Update Driver Software...
5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
6. Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
                   C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
7. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
8. Click Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
9. Click Next, then Close and exit Device Manager

Or try If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support.

Failing that try a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes as set out in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
