Mar 6, 2015 11:24 AM in response to hal1by sberman,Reset the iPad. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
Then sync again.

Sep 27, 2015 2:25 AM in response to hal1by airmanchairman,What works for me is deleting the app by navigating to Settings => General => Storage and iCloud Usage => Manage Storage, scroll & find the app, select it, then tap "Delete App".
