Q: Unlocking broken iPod through computer?

Hi, this may or may not be possible but Im giving it a try.

I broke my iPod's screen off a while ago, and now I want to recover photos from it. The photos are not on iCloud. I successfully connected it to iTunes, but now it wants me to type in my 4 digit code... Which I can't because the screen is off. So is there any way to unlock the iPod on the computer?
