Mar 7, 2015 1:38 PM in response to Johnny DEPby dret58,No. Unfortunately the latest version of the .dll installed in February hasn't solved the issue. Furthermore, ASU crashes and returns the new .dll version as the fault module, so ASU is probably written to access the latest version or the version in the sys32 directory or whatnot.
And alas, the full 64-bit edition of iTunes has not fixed the crashing or DEP compatibility issues of its predecessors. All bad news today :/.

Mar 8, 2015 6:12 AM in response to dret58by Johnny DEP,Do you have QuickTime installed? I do not. With iTunes 12.1.1 installed, running ASU manually only offers me QuickTime 7.7.6.

Mar 8, 2015 10:54 AM in response to Johnny DEPby dret58,I have Quicktime 7.7.6 installed and iTunes 12.1.0.71 currently. ASU offers a variety bag of entirely non-pertinent updates. My case my be quite specific, who knows?

Mar 8, 2015 5:08 PM in response to dret58by Johnny DEP,You mean you haven't heard that iTunes 12.1.0 64-bit was a major disaster for Apple? You might want to check for the audio problems described in this thread (among others): Choppy audio music playback after Itunes 12.1 update on Windows 8.1. 12.1.1 is a bug-fix version released specifically for Windows, i.e. there is no 12.1.1 for Mac. Actually my preferred solution to the BEX issue is to run 11.1.5, which I was running as recently as yesterday. Like you, I have no iOS 8 device that would require me to run 11.4 or later. (If those Apple devices are so great, why do you need a PC to support them?) But if you're the kind of guy who wants to run only the most up-to-date crashware, then by all means you should install 12.1.1.
