I understand that your iPod classic is no longer working. In this situation, I would suggest working through the attached troubleshooting assistant. If the issue continues, can you please tell me what functions or parts of your iPad are no longer working?

this didn't help - it seems as though it may be related to the battery and perhaps it needs replacing. Can this not be looked at by a technician at Apple? I'm not concerned on the value of the product - it is of sentimental importance to me to have this working again?

Because this iPod is vintage or obsolete, Apple has discontinued hardware service. Please refer to the attached article for further information.
