Q: How to remove duplicate itunes files

I have a 15 inch macbook pro 10.6.8. I don't know how but all my itunes data (music, books, contacts etc) seems to have duplicated or triplicated, some of it with different numbers/names. Can someone please tell me how I can remove duplicates?
