Q: Repairing Boot Camp after creating new partition

Hello,

I am running OS X 10.10.1 and Windows 8x64.

I added another partition to my mac so I could store extra data on it. When I tried to boot into windows I could no longer find it when I used the alt key. But I can still find the files. I have looked online and found this link to a problem that appears to be like mine.Repairing Boot Camp after creating new partition. I realize that I need to post the output of, 1. diskutil list, 2. sudo fdisk /dev/<DiskWhereYouHaveInstalledBootcamp>, and 3. sudo gpt -v -r show /dev/<DiskWhereYouHaveInstalledBootcamp> but I do not know how to find the last two. But I am attaching a image of my disk utility.Screen Shot 2015-03-09 at 11.20.22 AM.png Could someone please help?

Thank you

    Yah except only my Bootcamp and OSX partitions show up on my windows side. The EXFAT partition is part of the OSX partition when I am in windows. But when I am in OSX it shows it as a separate partition. Is there a way that I can fix this so I can see the partition in windows too?

    Can you post the output of sudo fdisk /dev/disk0?

    The current layout is

    GPT1 + GPT2 = MBR1 (Unknown).

    GPT3 = MBR2 (Recovery HD). Drive Letter E: - This should not be manipulated in any way from oSX or Windows, otherwise the Mac cannot be locally recovered.

    GPT4 = MBR3 (Windows) Drive Letter - D:.

    GPT5 = MBR4 (BOOTCAMP - Windows OS).  Drive Letter - C:.

    Can you verify that this is how it shows up?

    The 139+GB partition (D:) is currently marked as NTFS/FAT/exFAT, and should be readable from OSX and Windows. OSX side uses the GPT (the MBR is ignored). It should let you see 139GB and 69GB partitions in Finder as volumes.

    How do I verify it. Do you need it from bootcamp or OSX?

    On the Windows side, please go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.

    It should look similar to the following.

    Here it is. For some reason the exFAT partition is on the D drive and does not show up as a separate partition.

    The Disk Management appears to be incorrect. If you right click on the the disk0, do you get an option to Scan for changes?

    The 200 mb partition that I had before is no longer there on the windows side. Also the OSX partition is no longer under my computer. Is this ok, or will it harm my computer?

    This looks correct now. Your OSX partition is the combination of EFI and OSX. You cannot read/write to it from Windows. The others look fine and as expected.

    Thank you so much for your help. You have saved me from a lot of frustration. What do you do for a job that you understand how to fix all of these computer issues?

    Very to see it all working. Computers are not my primary line of work, even though I use them extensively. Please post back if you run into any issues. I strongly recommend a new backup of OS X, and a Windows backup on a separate NTFS-formatted external disk.
