Q: unable to upload photobook with Iphoto

I am trying to order a photo book with Iphoto 9.6.  Everytime I try I get the error "error occured uploading order".  It was no problem to generate the pdf version via http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040.  Also tried to shut down computer and restart with Safe Boot.  Nothing worked.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Click on the Store button at the top of this page.  On  the next page click, on this button and select View Account.

Now get into your account information and reenter all of the credit card info. Then try ordering again.

I would check the CC again  -- your CC number, expiration data. And than there is the Apple account. Do you have the correct Apple ID password. Hope this helps.

I have tried exactly that and I got an error again.

Is there no possibility to contact Apple, they must be able to see what caused the error?  Could it be that the photobook is loading to slowly and because of that giving an error?

Has the process of using iPhoto to upload a photo book ever worked for you on your computer?  Have you been able to make a test book and view it?  (look at some of the previous posts to this thread)

When I was having difficulty getting my book uploaded, I never received any error messages. It would just hang.  Can you make any sense out of the error message(s)  you get?  Maybe you could enter the error message into Google and see if you get a hit?

How many pages in your book?  If your transmission rate is very slow and the book is large,  a time out problem could be in play.  When you try to upload the book, make sure you are NOT doing anything else with the computer -- no other tasks running.  You could create a real small (like with few pages) test book and send it up for printing to see if it is a time or page problem.  Test the system and than delete the test book. I think you have several minutes to delete.

    Good luck.

I created a small new photobook and it worked to order it.  So there must be an issue with the book itself, nothing with my CC.  Not sure how I can find out where the error is, or I might have to redo the photobook .

I tried again to upload my 44 page photobook after cancelling the test order, and it did work. Don't understand why it worked all of a sudden. But doesn't matter anymore.  Thanks for all the tips!!
