So here's the procedure:
Find your Mac's serial number in About This Mac or System Information - Apple Support
Then click on "System Report".
Are you intending on upgrading?
Talk to OWC. I've done 5 SSDs so far from them. Total no brainer:
Yours is easy since it's still a standard SATA vs the newer (and expensive) PCIe.
RAM also.
