Jan 28, 2015 10:20 AM in response to A_Spencerby ChitlinsCC,anything that is not repeatable is almost impossible to troubleshoot... that said, it appears that at some time you had joy with your WorkFlow. What has Changed since then? Add software? Update/Upgrade? list all the changes on all the devices. - ÇÇÇ

Mar 10, 2015 11:04 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby A_Spencer,What WorkFlow???
1st click, works. 2nd click few seconds later, no longer works. I do not know what changes took place in between that few seconds. That's why I'm here. Maybe someone can tell me what are the possible changes.

Mar 11, 2015 3:32 PM in response to A_Spencerby ChitlinsCC,- WorkFlow - the actions you normally take to accomplish a given task
- 1 click then another is not a WorkFlow - it a STEP in a WorkFlow
- the change that took place immediately before this misbehavior began - in the past, not during the WorkFlow
(see previous post)

Mar 11, 2015 8:08 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby A_Spencer,Plug ipad to my mac. Open itunes. Click sync. Open mail. Some new notes created in ipad are in mail, but not all notes.
No additional software. No updates nor upgrades.
Changes on device:
Created new notes, click sync on itunes. No new notes in mail. Days or weeks later, sync again in itunes, some new notes visible in mail but not all new.
Allow me to repeat again:
Mail only sync SOME notes, not all, randomly.
The ones that synced (which I update in ipad), sometimes get updated sometimes don't, in Mail.
Tried creating a test note from the Mail app. Works, but a second sync creates a duplicate note. Delete one of them, edit the note from ipad, doesn't sync anymore.

Mar 12, 2015 4:28 PM in response to A_Spencerby bobseufert,I'm curious, using iTunes to sync Notes seems like a lot of work. Why not use iCloud. ?
-
Mar 13, 2015 2:29 AM in response to bobseufertby A_Spencer,A click on the 'sync' button is not too much since I'm charging my ipad using my Mac while syncing. unless if my mac doesn't need an internet connection to use iCloud, I might give it a try.
What about my contacts? I have a lot of new contacts in my ipad but none seems to sync to my Address book. I'm trying to back up before I update my ios for my ipad.

Mar 13, 2015 2:46 AM in response to A_Spencerby bobseufert,Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately your Mac would need the internet to use iCloud so that idea is out. Hopefully somebody with iTunes experience will see your question and be able to help. I don't have a computer so anything I suggest about iTunes would probablybe wrong.

Mar 13, 2015 3:40 AM in response to bobseufertby A_Spencer,Just finish trying it out using wifi. Out of 40 over notes I have created since the beginning of this year, only 19 are in my mail.
That's my problem. It syncs, but not all.

Mar 19, 2015 5:05 AM in response to A_Spencerby Phillip1984,I just had the same issue, and solved it the following way:
in the system preferences on your phone under "notes" change the default account (i had the option of iCloud and my gmail account).
then uncheck notes in the iCloud menu.
reboot phone.
change everything back and connect to mac.
i also looked into the iCloud website in the notes app.
then i took all the notes in the Mac app, and dragged them into the iCloud notes account, on the left bar.
the ones that ware available to be dragged in there were the ones i had saved in my gmail account.
all those notes appeared then also in the iCloud notes app in the safari browser.
i think the problem was, that they cross syncing between different accounts, iCloud and gmail, was confused.
hope that helped.
best, p

Mar 24, 2015 2:08 AM in response to Phillip1984by A_Spencer,I have just updated my firmware and my notes under icloud is off. Haven't tried changing it yet.
I have a slightly different option under default account for my note. 'Gmail' and 'from my mac'. And it's in 'from my mac'. Should I change to 'gmail'?
I'll try and see if it works. It's strange since it affect my address book as well.....
