When I do the add printer I get a message that some software is missing and printer may not print. Funny thing is the laptop sees the printer and I can remotely scan and copy. Just can't print. still get error. Same with USB or network connection. Do not understand what software it is looking for.

Mar 13, 2015 9:04 AMby my ginger,Follow Mike on the printer problem. But as far as heat. try a SMC reset and also check the back vent to make sure it's not getting clogged up.https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295 You could also download and run SMC fan control to monitor the fan and heat.
