Q: i5 won't allow purchases even though the bank account linked to my card has plenty of money in it

I try to download purchases on both my iPhone 5 and IPhone 4S and free apps and I keep getting a message that says: Your purchase could not be completed, for assistance contact iTunes support. Any ideas?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.2

What happened when you did what the message said and contacted iTunes support?

Do you have a debit card associated with your Apple ID? If so change it to a credit card.
