Q: psf Documents files?

Hello .

For a long time a crete  my documents  whit world for mac ( Power PC  base )    now i upgrade  to OS X Yosemite 10.10.

the power pc  programs not longer sputtered whit this version Yosemite . most of my documents  opens  whit TextEdit whit no problem at all . but  some of my document now are in PSF Yes PSF format , when i tray to open  the warning massage  say ( There  is no application  set to open the document  " .....psf") and give some  options  like  choose application, cancel or  search App Store .

i choose  application  TEXTEDIT to open but when  the document  opens  just  display a  estrange  simbols.

i don't know  how to  revert this situation  . i reserch online  but i can't find nothing  related  to PSF on mac .

if some can help me  i will really appreciated .

    Canon's old photo software that shipped with the cameras would use a psf extension. I think it was actually just a photoshop format, though.

    Because they were trying to figure out what software uses/creates a .psf file.  So far the only reference to that format has nothing whatsoever to do with a text document.

     

    If changing the extension doesn't work, you may have to write off the files entirely or find a PowerPC computer that is still running the application, open them, and save them in another format such as plain text then copy the files to a USB flash drive.

    The psf file might be a Print Shop file. Back in the day, Print Shop was the go-to desktop publishing software for education.
