Feb 2, 2015 9:07 PM in response to Jayteeyby jimmy98761,Doesn't work for me. I turned off my data for a reason. Obviously I know I can turn it back on if I want to BUT I DON'T! STOP REMINDING ME AND FORCING ME TO TAP OK WHILE I AM DRIVING! Dumbest thing ever. Please fix this Apple as the don't allow cellular data changes on restrictions does not remove this extremely annoying prompt.

Feb 3, 2015 8:17 AM in response to donoverbyby tlhintoq,How do I unsubscribe from this? Any other forum site its plain and obvious... But oh, not Apple.

And yet after that comment you expect someone to help you. Figure it out for yourself like everyone else had to. Its not that difficult.

Feb 3, 2015 8:56 AM in response to pogsterby tlhintoq,No sense of humor dude. I've had Macs since OS 6. Couldn't tell you how many macs include an Xserver, classic, PPC series, G4 series, quad tower, MBP, iPhones since gen 1 through current 6plus, 2 apple TV's (3 if you count the one that fried its network), iPads etc. I'm a true supporter of Apple. But that doesn't mean I have to me a mindless follower nor do I have to think they are the best at EVERYTHING. I'm entitled to think they aren't perfect.

Thank you. Actually I'm at home with no restrictions yet not seeing any 'follow' widget. Even a search of the page only shows 'follow' in the text of our posts. Maybe it doesn't appear in Firefox: Maybe I have to reopen the page in Safari just to see that. Hmmm... Back in a bit from that browser.

Feb 3, 2015 9:03 AM in response to tlhintoqby dylanito,Any chance we can get back to the main point of this forum? We're all sick of this problem, and Apple is most likely not listening at all. But unfortubately, it's all we've got, and in the off chance they acrually look here, I doubt they will take this banter seriously.

Feb 3, 2015 9:18 AM in response to dylanitoby tlhintoq,OR - It could be just as telling when someone realizes its pointless to whine about here 10 pages deep, publicly points out as you and others have done that Apple won't/doesn't listen to its user-base and fix this... unsubscribing here just say "There is not point since they don't listen - HOW SAD ON THEIR PART".
I posted 3 times that this IS RESOLVABLE because I've done it through a j.a.i.b.r.e.a.k. tweak. But those posts keep getting deleted because it advocates an unauthorized process. And probably because that 3rd party control panel does resolve the problem and Apple doesn't want it out there that it is easily turned off - thus showing that they CHOOSE not to turn it off for whatever reason. Probably because advertisers want it on, and because AT&T and Verizon want it on.

Feb 28, 2015 5:31 AM in response to Derrick24by Huntercs333,It really isn't even that complicated for Apple, all they would have to do is create an option in notification Center under settings to turn off notifications for the settings app because that's where all of these notifications are coming from. They act just like notifications for other third-party apps.
So forward this idea to them under the iPhone feedback area, if everyone in the discussion did it, we might just find some answers in the next minor firmware update.

Mar 6, 2015 5:17 PM in response to fxitwillby okapi77,fxitwill, I just want to second your comment. You are absolutely right. It seems there are so many customers annoyed with these incessant reminders after having intentionally opted to turn off cellular data for a particular app(s). And yet Apple hasn't bothered to create a software update to solve the problem. And as has been pointed out by many of us, it would be an easy fix by simply adding one button to turn these reminders on/off.
If the reminder appeared only when one attempted to download something from the app, but wasn't connected to wifi, then I could understand the reminder that one had turned off cellular data. But these reminders appear every time an app is merely opened. And once it appears, you can't do anything else on your phone until you click on the reminder to make it go away. (Not even the 'Home' button will work until you click on the reminder.) For all the simplicity and user-friendliness that Apple has come to be known by, this is a massive debacle. This reminder creates constant unnecessary clicks, wasting of time and added annoyance. Is Apple just becoming another Microsoft?
I have also noticed, as you pointed out, a general lack of concern by Apple for customer/user experience both in the stores and on phone support since the passing of Jobs. It's unfortunate. I am at the point of upgrading my laptop, and I was seriously looking into switching from a PC to a Mac, but not anymore.
This is my first time into the Apple forum. I knew to this side of the community. I hope to contribute more often.

Mar 14, 2015 4:31 AM in response to Derrick24by Bearwithme,BUMP!
whatever reason behind this why apple has not solved this yet, hear this apple, i did not feel like registering to some complaint forum before, because the phone just works, but this notification problem is really worth the effort to fix it. an iphone os resembling sweet nanny's care from windows vista is certainly not the plan, i trust?
i mean no offense, ios is the best user experience, i just hope this is what can make it even better.

Mar 14, 2015 7:33 PM in response to Bearwithmeby Dennispetrone,i hate this too. But the only explanation is that Apple has a contract with the cell carriers to try to make us use their cellular data. Which is why we keep getting asked to turn cell data on. Apple is in bed with the carriers now so this message is here to stay. Unless of course we turn on cellular data for every app and get charged when we aren't on wifi. Such a load of crap. another Apple fail. Just like this stupid watch they have coming out. Lets just shrink the phone and put it on our wrist for another 700 bucks! Idiots
