Thanks for the question. I understand that your iPhone has been displaying the temperature warning for quite some time now. Let’s try restarting and/or resetting your device in an attempt to resolve this issue:

If the phone is not hot to touch you have a hardware problem. Take it to an Apple store for diagnosis. The high temperature warning on an iPhone normally doesn't come on until the phone is too hot to hold comfortably.
