Mar 15, 2015 1:02 PM in response to xaipeteby aixen21,Strange. I don't even come close to that! When you talk to them, can you ask if this is something they are working on fixing for everyone? If this is the cause, that is...

Mar 15, 2015 2:31 PM in response to aixen21by yosh8585,Lame. I'm going to dump icloud if this is what they do. I don't send any mail through icloud. It is either forwarded from gmail or sent through gmails servers. The only reason I have icloud is for push on my iOS devices.

Mar 15, 2015 2:47 PM in response to yosh8585by aixen21,MobileMe was a flawed product. Apple acknowledged that and moved on from it. iCloud has been far superior to it, and as a long time user, fairly stable. I think that's an emotional statement not based on fact. Every company has its hiccups. Google knows very well about this.

Weak point is Apple - see MobileMe

Mar 15, 2015 3:29 PM in response to aixen21by xaipete,The senior apple mail tech really tried to find the problem. He sent the a ticket to the engineering department to find out why my email account is showing that I sent so many emails (1000+), but he's not sure that that number he's seeing is the actual problem. I'm just going to have to wait until I get an answer from engineering. In the meantime, I checked google mail forums and noted that others have the problem too. It's always the same scenario: problems sending from gmail to iCloud. Interesting to note that it's only a problem for me if I try to send to my own iCloud account. I can send mail to other iCloud accounts. Pam

Mar 15, 2015 3:45 PM in response to aixen21by Brent Rossow,FWIW, the same thing is happening to me -- can't get email from my wife, who uses Gmail. She thought I was just ignoring her, but a couple days later she started getting the "Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed" emails. Tried sending myself a message via Gmail earlier today and it hasn't come through yet, either.
A couple weeks ago I got a few delivery failure messages for emails I definitely didn't send -- someone spammed others using my email address (account wasn't compromised, just used my address as the From) and I wonder if it's connected....
