Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I’m so glad to hear that you are taking an interest into the Health app that is included with iOS 8. What data are you looking to have the health app automatically log? Most of the data points can accept information from “Sources”, or other applications that specialize in tracking this data. The iPhone 5C does not have a motion co-processor. It won't count steps or distance the way an iPhone 5S or later will. If you have an activity tracker that syncs with Health, such as an UP by Jawbone, Withings Pulse or a Garmin Vivofit or Vivosmart, you can use those as sources.
