Mar 10, 2015 6:11 PM in response to charles 19by ssschmidt,You will not be able to use apple pay on an iPhone 5, 5s, or 5c because it does not have the NFC Hardware that is present in the 6/6+. When the Apple watch is released, you would be able to use apple pay with the watch.

Mar 16, 2015 10:05 AM in response to ssschmidtby JeffreyAHallett,But it does have Touch ID so theoretically it should be able to use Apple Pay for in-app purchases just like an iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 3. Although none of the support pages include iPhone 5S in that list, it seems that the feature should be available.

Mar 16, 2015 12:59 PM in response to JeffreyAHallettby JaxFLBear,Touch ID alone is not enough to facilitate Apple Pay. The iPhone 5, 5c & 5s lack the secure element which is used to store the information for Apple Pay. Only when paired with an Apple Watch, will Apple Pay will be available to the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s for in-store payments only.
