Q: Camera not working MacBook Air 2011

Hi,

It seems like i'm not the only one having this problem.

My camera is not working on FaceTime, Photo Booth or Skype. I don't really remember if it stopped working after an update or if it just stopped working like that.

iSight is not detected in the USB system..

I've read a lot a forum to solve the problem but no solution seems to work on me...

Please help me !!

MacBook Air, iOS 8.1

Shut down your MBA.  Wait a minute and then restart it.  Now check the Hardware "USB device tree" in your Mac's System Information utility.

When your camera is not recognized as a USB device after a shut-down and startup, you likely have a hardware problem.  Tthere are no user serviceable parts of the camera.

Unless you have a current backup of your MBA, make one now.

Then use Apple's final suggestion in its "Troubleshooting" article: "... contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service."
