Q: "iCloud Ineligible" Message

For certain music I import into iTunes, the the "iCloud Status" field (after import) reads "iCoud ineligible" (the little "cloud" having a slash through it. In general, it happens with importing CDs purchased outside the iTunes Store -- but not always.

 

Anyone  else ever experience this? Suggestions for remedying thngs so that all my music is in the Cloud and eligible for iTunes Match etc?
