Q: Gmail emails are delayed or not sending to iCloud

A very strange issue started out of the blue a couple of days ago. I have my gmail account forwarding to my iCloud (me.com). My friend asked me if I got his email the other day, never went through. After some testing I found out that all of a sudden Gmail messages are not being forwarded or sent to my iCloud. Some are even bouncing back. Any idea what the problem might be? Why would it start out of the blue?

It is my impression that some mail is pre-filtered out, i.e., never shows up in your junk mail. You could try subscribing to that site under a different email address and/or cancel and then reinstate your subscription. Definitely put the site in your contacts. --Pam

This is precisely why you should have a secondary email account with another provider and not use iCloud as a primary one.

Most email that is sent to my iCloud account ( @mac.com ) is being delayed.  Not sure by how long or when it started, but I tested by sending test emails to my iCloud account from two other accounts (not Gmail, but two other providers), and neither has arrived in my iCloud account yet, and it has been over 30 minutes.  I know that it isn't an ISP problem, because test emails sent to my other accounts arrive immediately.

    NOT a dependable email service.
