Mar 19, 2015 4:55 PM in response to mariohp89by irollinaball,I recently had this same problem. If you have music in other files on your computer other than iTunes, open that file up select all the music you want then drag and drop it into your phone on iTunes.
Hope this helps, it worked for me!

Mar 20, 2015 11:32 PM in response to mariohp89by iamnmr,I'm having the same issue. I heard it's because they're trying to crack down and only keep 'bought' songs on your iPhone. But if they don't fix this, they're going to be losing a lot of faithful customers, including me.

Mar 21, 2015 1:18 AM in response to iamnmrby Songman,Are songs which you have copied from legitimately bought CD's also deleted?
-
Mar 21, 2015 1:59 AM in response to irollinaballby iamnmr,Yes. The only songs that stayed on my phone were the songs directly bought from the iTunes store.

I sincerely doubt that explanation. I have 9,000 tracks on my 2 iPhones and iPad, and 7,000 of them are from ripped CDs and MP3s. They copy and sync just fine, and they copied to my new iPad yesterday. You've got some other problem.

Mar 22, 2015 8:13 PM in response to mariohp89by pswong3,I have the same problem.
iPhone6, recently upgraded to OS8.2. I have set "Managed My Music Manually."
Had about 2800 songs on my iPhone but after the upgrade, can only see the purchased songs in the Music App, the rest of the songs disappeared.
When I check the space usage, it still says the Music App takes up the space for the 2800+ songs. When I checked through iTunes, all the songs were listed there under Music within the iPhone. But when I tried to play any of the songs from iTunes, a little "!" icon appears.
Tried deleting all the songs and reload. Also tried wiping the iPhone and restoring everything. None worked.
Any ideas? Is this a bug?
Phil.
