Q: Cannot remove 0s5 partition

I recently installed Windows 8 and then Windows 8.1 update to run some legacy programs on my new iMac. I tried to remove the 0s5 partition in bootcamp using apple support instructions. When I select the partition in disk utility bootcamp partition menu the screen reverts to "first aid" and there is no minus button to erase the partition. Should I just leave it? Would appreciate any help

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

How was the disk0s5 created? It could be the Windows Recovery Environment. Can you post the output of the following Terminal commands?

    diskutil list

    diskutil cs list

The 472.9 MB partition is the Windows Recovery Environment. You can leave it. Does Windows boot and end up in a Recovery environment? If yes, finish the recovery and try normal boot of Windows.
