If you don't see the Mirroring option button in the Airplay settings, you may need to scroll down past the devices to see it.

I tried scrolling down and it didnt do anything i clicked it and tried clicking it again i then scrolled down again to no success. I did however try it on my dads iphone 5 and it worked no problem brought up the option to mirror. but i would like to mirror my phone not my dads. So if u have any more ideas im all ears. or i guess all eyes. plus whats the version an iphone 4s up to date should be on mine is on 7.1.2. idk if those are the exact numbers but its the version right before ios 8. again thx for replying.

What version of the iOS does your Dad have on his iPhone 5? I would suggest upgrading your iOS to the latest version, which is currently 8.2.
