Q: Brand new IMac screen has streaks that wont clean off

My brand new IMac's screen won't come clean. It looks as if their is a layer of cheep plastic over the glass. I have felt around the edges and can't find anything to peel off, so I'm wondering if I should take it back. Not sure what to do. Anyone else have this issue?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

    Same issue.

Having enjoyed this thunderbox for six months I found those nagging dust smudges in both the bottom corners...

these are infinitesimal dust particles blown by the vents into the display through its untight body.

You won't remove the stains, even when taken apart.

A common problem in the previous generation: had it replaced then and going to have them do it again!

Instead posting at the bottom of a thread that has been dead for year, you really should start own so that your problem gets the recognition it deserves.
